The trader you attacked(Wolves_Manwe_V) was passing through your lands not trading there.
As you also know he is unarmed therefor it couldn't have been an attack force, which your border policies say traders should have below 200 troops. Which when you transport stuff is highly unsuitable!
As i didn't get back any reply on my second post to you, i implied we were still in negotations and you would let at least pass our traders.
I do trade with many NA Factions, including your latest contract giver. I am still open to make trade with you, depending how this matter can be resolved.

I will let Sauce reply on his official stance on the issue, but I will offer our reasoning for attacking.

Last night my guys tracked Manwe as he headed, rather apparently, towards Yruma.  When I issued the order to attack, Manwe's circle was literally on top of the graphical image of Yruma on the map, and still appeared (according to my guys, I am out of view range) to be headed straight at the castle.  With 300 troops unarmed and 700 crates we knew that was all goods, and did not want to risk a massive loss to  Yruma's S&D at this time.

If his path had taken him farther from Yruma we would not have attacked, but without seeing his travel path it really appeared he was headed to Yruma.

Also, Remnant started Strat 4 with an open trade policy, but like most, it has changed to Closed with invite only.

Thanks for reply. I am camping your ts channel meanwhile till i get poked by Sauce or someone who can settle this. My goal would be to get at least free passage from now on. My guys always have strict orders where to go and what to do, traveling so close to your castle was only because of a direct line to their destination and therefor saving traveltime. For our trades into NA i would often need to go through your area therefor a free passage is needed in any case, with including a promise that we wouldn't use any of your S&D if we wouldn't have at first a trade agreement suitable to both our expectations.

I'm just a trader but it sounds like you need free passage through our area and have nothing to really offer in return since all of EU is a warzone in which case you need to get fucked. As the trader's creed clearly states "fuck bitches, make money."
