And then I will put this in just to annoy Curtis:
(click to show/hide)

Because:

Britain itself is not a nation, it has nations within it, but personally, along with quite a few, I like to think of myself as British and not English.
Afterall, we are the United Kingdom.

Yeah I don't know what to call you, because Curtis gets almost offended if someone calls him British. "I'M NOT BRITISH, I'M ENGLISH CUNT! Why do people think I'm British?!" :D.

I don't get people that don't get multiple cultures can coexist in the same country. It already happens everywhere and in fact I don't see why there should be a link between culture and country.

I answered your off-topic political bullshit spoiler with an actual post. Ho well...

Guess Norway will be Canada then.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Regardless of what he says, he is British, English = British whether or not you believe English > Britain. It's just the mindset you're brought up with to an extent. I mean, without throwing too off topic crap here, he's probably Labour, whereas I'm Conservative.

I like the idea of the European Union, but I don't think that it will ever become like you say. Britain in particular, we're already pushed out a reasonable amount because we refused to transfer to the Euro (which was a lucky escape) and therefore, it's split into the "Euro Zone" and "Europe", we're part of "Europe" but we're not in the zone so to speak.
The individual jurisdiction across the different countries within Europe break down significantly as a global government as they are going to make decisions and put forward ideas that are going to further their own country, no one thinks of other countries when they say they want something there. Unlike the US, who have been the same country since day one (want of a better phrase), all their interests are the same (more or less) in Europe, it wouldn't be.

In short, I don't think it would work, but I'm not a politician and only have a passing interest in government, enough to better myself.

Well I don't want to turn this thread into political discussion. I like some things about the EU. However I don't approve everything that the European Union is doing and has done but as I said this thread is about nice things, not dirty politics!

So back to subject. Is the team going to be called as United Kingdoms- team or are the UNITED Kingdoms going to be the Separated Kingdoms in this nations cup? Just so I could start making the flag banner pack ^^.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, UK doesn't belong in the EU. By their own admission their primary role in European history has been to keep the continent fragmented with a "balance" of power. Their obstructionist bullshit within the EU is just the legacy of those policies.
I'd say they have as much of a vested interest in the EU as any other Euro country, and as far as culture and geography it is an integral part of Europe and as such they belong in the EU, but they don't see it that way. Brits have mostly always held themselves as appart from continentals. It's not hard to find pop culture echos of it everywhere in their politics, especially when it comes to the subject of the EU.

All the insular people tend to be like that to the closest continent, though.

But what the hell Oberyn this is not a politics thread. Will you join team France ?

I don't think Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales or England seperately would be able to pick up a big enough team to fight, so I would guess, particularly with the addition of the Union flag, we'll be running as Britain, not our individual countries.

I don't think there are enough Welsh, Scottish or Northern Irish players to form individual teams and so I expect we will play as the UK.

The real questions are whether there are any Irish players out there, whether will they be included with the UK and if so what will our name/banner be then?

I doubt they have enough (I can only think of Alpha & Blueberry (who isn't the most Irish Irishman...  )) but I am fully willing to be completely surprised by the sudden arrival of a full team of Irish!

england and so on should be one team since it is one nation:
Great Britain
Or should germany come with people out of all states to form 16 teams?? no
I already think it is bs that they are seperated in Soccer but this is not the right topic for that:D
So thats NA, why do you care about EU? Are you trying to export freedom?
