I agree. Not nice to make teams organize and do trainings while you just postpone the event again and again. I think most teams have lost interest and if you ever start this, you must be very active to wake up the captains and teams

I've still had no word from Exxc, so nothing new yet.

Since i've still have had no word from Exxc and i no longer have the time or motivation to continue this alone, i've decided to stop organising this project, if there is anyone interested in taking over they should contact me. The nditions forum and other resources will stay available for those that want to take over this project.

Unless the cRPG team backed off, the official nations cup servers should still be available blackbow, most things are sorted except the teams.

i don't understand what's difficult about this, i could get the ball rolling i guess if someone gives me a hand ...

is it literally a case of

-getting each team it's own forum page
-building a list of team contacts and players
-drawing up a match schedule and a set of match rules for the tournament

?? because i'd be quite happy to follow to the letter the successful format they used on native for umpteen tournaments .. ?

to begin with, if you want a successful nations cup it needs its own sub-forum, with several master threads (stickies), one with introduction, rules etc, one with teams and team captains, and one with upcoming matches. then of course each team needs it's own thread.

I am unable to continue as captain of the Danish/Norwegian team, since I am living in Vietnam for now. But, it would be a real shame if the team was disbanded, so I will gladly help anyone who wants to become a new captain and gather as many people as possible. I know there was other people applying for the job back when the captains was applying (Byrdi?). If we're getting a subforum, I'll open a thread for the team.

Thanks to the team for all the support and for signing up, my apologies for not giving you much time and care. I'll try to remedy that if a new team is formed (Though not as a captain).

If any Dane or Norwegian fancies themselves being the captain of the Danish/Norwegian team, send me a pm and I'll help you in whatever way possible.

Det er ikke muligt for mig at fortsætte som leder af det dansk/norske Nations Cup hold, siden jeg bor i Vietnam det næste halve år. Men jeg synes det ville være en skam hvis holdet bare gik fra hinanden, så jeg vil med glæde hjælpe enhver der gerne kunne tænke sig at være en ny leder af det dansk/norske hold, og hjælpe med at samle folk. Jeg var ikke den eneste der meldte sig til som leder da vi skulle vælges. Hvis vi får et subforum vil jeg lave en tråd for holdet.

Tak til alle der meldte sig og tak for støtten. Jeg var ikke en speciel god leder af holdet, og gav ikke projektet nok opmærksomhed. Jeg vil forsøge at hjælpe med dette istedet.

well, i'm trying my hardest to take over this nations cup, i've added the various leaders to steam etc etc etc, the only thing stopping me so far is that i can't even contact cmp or chadz (despite trying) to set up a temporary sub-forum for the cup within the events thread !

could do it on nditionsforum, but crpg is such a small community, who all use the main crpg forum, doing it on some random forum no one uses is just dumb. you want as many people to see it as possible and to actively post in it. also, far more work for me organising it if it's on a less known forum.
