If you are afraid so much of scarring psychologically someone who has been on the Internet long enough to figure what this "mount and blade" is, then...well...
In any case, a word filter, as far as I know, is pretty easy to implement for the more widely used words. And not just racist words. In the end I see little difference between seeing "you fucking friend!" (which is banned) and "you assfucking bundle of sticks" (which is not banned). We can either ban both to be consistent (and variations) or stop pretending and accept this is the Internet.

Less talk about how you're a terrible racist and more talk about freeing Huey!

MrShine, I am not a racist. I just believe in this little radical idea called "free speech". You might have heard of it, I heard the founders of the US were pretty big funs of it and that it allowed the advancement of initially VERY unpopular ideas like feminism, civil rights movement etc.

I know I am a radical, but it is my deepest belief that free speech isn't there for us to secure our right to talk about the weather.

I think the problem here is how non-racist are actually the worse one.

Non racist people, due to being overly sensitive or white guilt are actually proliferating racism which is really retarded I must say.

If no one gave a single shit about racial/ethnic slurs/insults, racism wouldn't exist, the sole fact that oversensitive people that are AGAINST racism exists are what makes racism exist, it's ironic but that's how it is.

All in all, stop being oversensitive and proliferating racism by being against it.

The founders were also totally ok with people yelling 'FIRE' in a crowded theater in order to protect everyone's freedom of speech.

Hate speech has historically inspired anger & violence.  Discussing how all friends must die (not saying you did;example) in all chat has no relevance to the game, it's going beyond the game and getting at IRL issues & people, which is a bannable offense.

In conclusion, freedom isn't free, and neither is Huey (yet!).

Difference between that (and in real life threats in the game too, for example) is that they are direct calls for violence and/or harm. Saying "dem nigs runin muh neighbourhood" is not.

Now, we might argue whether allowing racial insults in the game could potentially lead to real life violence in society in the long term or we might simply agree that looking for long term societal prospects is way beyond the scope of the game and game policy which is simply to safeguard that everyone has a good time in the game.

And banning racism in this game does not help to safeguard that. In fact, it is a sad reflection of society.

In conclusion, freedom isn't free, and neither is Huey (yet!).

Freedom isn't free, but banning it to safeguard it is a mistake many people make too often.
