They're really making progress with all the patches in my opinion. I really stopped playing at all for a while because of the horrid fucking rubber-band lag that was extremely common. That's pretty much gone for me now. Projectile weapons also had a fuck-huge delay between the button press and the firing of the weapon, and they fixed that too.
