The point is that he delay's 2-3 minutes on average most rounds that he plays.  It's one thing during the battle to have have an op player doing his thing.  But when that guy is the only one left and he's riding around in circles not winning just waiting for the flags to save his kdr. THAT IS DELAYING! 

The point is that 99% of the time he doesn't try to win battles (by preventing the other team from reaching the flag and killing those at it) he focuses on the stragglers while the folks at the flag take it.  He may be engaging but he is not actively trying to win the battle, and all the while 50-75% of the other players have to sit around and wait.

I'm pretty sure griefing is against the rules.

And yes that was clearly a legit poll considering how many people voted against you.

This wasn't a game of 10 people.

You deserved to be poll kicked.  You admitted you knew it was going to happen in the very screenshots you posted.  Now you're trying to act like it was unwarranted and out of the blue?

If that definition of griefing were used a lot of people clamoring for this to be an accepted practice would be gone constantly on forced vacation. Have we played so much CRPG that we've forgotten that the kind of trolling that goes on on a constant basis in CRPG would be grounds for perma-ban on most private servers in other games. Case in point Spook, you spend much of your time on the game randomly insulting and being as offensive as you possibly can be interspersed with an occasional bout of strategy and/or compliments when your team is winning. The amount of vitriol that you spew on an almost daily basis would get you kicked constantly if we instituted the "make rules as you feel like" idea that seems to be the basis of this thread.

There's a reason that there is a set of rules handed down from the devs and there's a reason that those are the rules enforced by the admins. Polls are a nice privilege that we get to moderate the servers when admins aren't around (which by the way for mornings on NA is pretty much every day- could you guys pick an admin that actually logs in mornings please?) but if we abuse that privilege they're just going to take it away again and then we all get to suffer through Trollfield: Call of Dickery like we used to back in the day.

Pretty sure the definition of griefing is right there for you to see and that is exactly what you were doing.  The community agreed. 

This wasn't some triviality like talking smack or using harsh language that might scar the mind of a 9 year old who had never stepped outside his parent's home.
You were intentionally disrupting the game with your antics, repeatedly, every round you were there.  Even when asked to stop.

And you knew you were doing it; just like you knew you were going to get kicked for it.

And now you're trying to get people banned because you wanted to play nothing but Equestrian Hide and Go seek Simulator instead of CRPG.

Sorry, but there were 29 other people in that game who wanted to play CRPG instead of watch you ride on a horse for half the of the round; every round.

80% of the time you can't even get an AFK poll kicked on the server.
But somehow little old innocent you made well over the grade despite being totally faultless of any wrongdoing whatsoever...  yeah, I'm sure that will definitely hold up to scrutiny.

You knew you were griefing.  Just like you knew you were going to get poll kicked for it.

The screens you posted tell the tale.

The polls exist for a reason.  If an admin was there, they would have put an end to it.

Instead, the community did their job like the polls were designed to do.

Remove griefers, leechers, and the AFK.

It was a victory for democracy and a breath of fresh air considering 75% of all the polls we do see are overzealous, unwarranted, and tainted by personal bloodlust.

I also find it interesting that you make constant appeals to the majority. So, is the case now that you only have to make a poll appeal popular enough regardless of the actual rules. That would be an interesting day because then on the days when half the server is complaining about Spook's complete inability to go 2 maps without personally attacking half the server we'd see him kicked on a consistent basis. Again, i find it interesting that you're fighting so hard for an interpretation of polling that has no basis in the rules as written and moreover would only work against you if it were ever actually implemented.

"Well let the community decide" is all well and good when it's against someone that you are annoyed with personally but when it turns around and bites you right back i can only imagine the shouts of "wait that isn't in the rules, that's not that important! It's just a triviality!"

Funny though i think that may be i'd rather have a hard fast set of rules than a group of people deciding on the fly based on their whim of the day.

1. I do get kicked constantly and I'm not even putting the entire game on hold for my own personal antics.
2. I got banned yesterday for 20 hours because I offended a few 12 year olds with harsh language that made them feel bad (yeah, everybody knew that one was legit bullshit).  But I still took it and got over it.

This guy put the entire game on hold repeatedly, over and over, and is trying to act like a fucking saint about it.   It's ridiculous.

Do you see me crying on the boards, trying to play the martyr card, when I get hit with the insane amount of bullshit (some deserved, mostly not) that I do?  No. You don't.   And  I can assure you right now that I deal with this type of stuff 10 X more than everyone in this topic put together, and the most I'm ever doing is putting on a clown show in chat; not actually forcing everyone to sit around watching me disrupt the game to pad my KDR that is going to wipe when I retire anyway.  Also, there is no other player  who compliments players and their team more than I do. Just for the record.

I see horse archers playing all the time who don't do the type of garbage that Semen was pulling.  Why aren't they getting poll kicked?  Why aren't we seeing a rash of ban topics from outraged horse archers unjustly kicked for "just playing their class"

Oh wait, its because there's a huge difference between playing your class and outright delaying for the sake of delaying, repeatedly, as often as you can.

there was a similar poll against aderyn earlier and i pressed 2 because he wasnt actually delaying.  he was fighting and not dragging the game out every single round he was there.  the poll was highly unsuccessful anyway because people knew that.

just because other people have jumped the gun in the past doesnt mean that every case where a horse archer gets poll kicked is illegitimate.  That's just silly.

The dude deserved it.  He knew he deserved it.  It's been pretty much proven that he knew he deserved it by his own admission that he knew he'd be kicked.
