IDEA

Why don't we have a dedicated NA/EU server for 24/7 tournaments. This is how it could work

So, u join the tournament server. say theirs no tourney going on yet. so the server waits for 10 people to join, then sets a 3-5 minute timer for other people to get in before it starts, limit would be some where around 20 people.. Then the there could be all kind of events. maybe switching every 10-15 hours, or just keep it. u could have where theirs divided into 2 teams. play to 5. winner gets x amount of XP.or there could be a dueling tournament. where it loads 2 random in like a box arena , same with all the other people, and every time u win  u get loaded into another arena box with your next opponent. the looser gets put to spec. IDK just an idea. thought it would be fun . clans playing together and what not

There could be many more types of tourneys. those are just 2 i used for example

ALSO so theirs no plate crutches or unfair things in say duels or last man standing. there could be a limit of equipment u can use, or cost. also range would be fine in my opinion even know im 2h, but again a limit to the amount of arrows/cost



EDIT: im sure this would take much work, thats why half the general discussion never happen, even if everyone likes the idea. SO Give us a price for someone to do it, and maybe i could gather many friends together and we could raise the money, and get this shit done



EDIT: ALSO, we could do this with no xp or moneys, if wanted. so their couldn't be any abuse, and it would be easier for devs to make it. just for the simple joy of dueling/tournaments. Ik for sure theirs tons of level 33+ who dont give a shit about xp like me that just want something new and have fun

Sounds awesome, to make it better we need a ladder/ tournament system built in the mod and linked to a dedicated cRPG tournament site where it handles and records the team stats and match-up stuff similar to Clanbase (see pic). Incentives to compete in a tournament server would be the xp, the gold and the fame. This is ambitious stuff but i think it'll be definitely worth the effort, competitive e-sports is the way to go.

that could be cool...
depending on complaints about plate(which is really not a valid complaint since they get slower and you can just kite them) you could have different events with different ranges of armor(you may have said)
and archery events? with targets?

Tourney system? Would there be proper seeding and byes? It could be nice if it was double elim. and people who lose have something to do.


I think it wouldn't be too difficult to make some sort of ladder system or league, though, through a points system. In duel, you put up gold (or maybe not?) for a "league match" or money match or whatever you may wish to call it, and you would battle best out of 5. The better you do against an opponent with high amounts of points (3-0 compared to 3-2), the more points you earn. You may just earn/lose gold automatically, the specifics can be up to devs.
