I made the mistake with BlackOps. I bought it right at the beginning. Bad Choice.


For the game: there is a "MinecraftSP.exe" out there in the internetz somewhere. find it. It has a namechanger inside so you can play on Servers in offline Mode.

When you buy it you can use the spoutcraft-client (connects the client to the server. makes stuff like new sounds possible.) or have your own player-skin.

Not really, given the details. That was just what the internet made out of what Notch said. But it's not exactly cheap for an indie game.

And yeah the game is literally an executable so pirating it is as easy as downloading something.

depends if you like being creative, the game is coded horribly, uses up alot of ram and shit but if you like making stuff you will certainly enjoy it.

Yesterday i killed a noob on multiplayer (on a server where i had lots of money) and I felt sorry for him, so i built a castle and gave it to him then i gave him all my money. around 200,000.. which is alot on that server

Yes, definitely.

If/when (more of when, though, really..) you get bored of it there are tons of pretty easy-to-install mods that increase the longevity quite a bit, and they're usually compatible with multiplayer!

There are also a lot of SERVER mods, so you can play with a vanilla client and have an entirely different experience on many servers.

You can play a basic "creature" mode on your browser, for free, that's the game in a nutshell.  If you want more blocks, a little bit of a challenge.. well, the full game is definitely for you!

Indeed, the guy who hosted alot of our clan servers always raged that Minecraft ate all his ram, that he could only run few servers while that was on. Seriuslly, with all the memory it eats, you might think you running GTA 5 for 100 players.

There's actually some very simple solutions to it depending on your OS and your computer, it basically has a limit of using 1GB of ram by default, you can change this limit.  If you don't want to, client restarts when the lag sets in will help.

Anyway, I haven't even been running with any custom parameters and I have been running it just fine for very long sessions.

Against lags you can also use a Mod called "Optifine". Or you go and get spoutcraft. Spoutcraft is an alternative client. it is modified to get a better client-server-connection. So you can for example add new sounds, blocks and effects on your server (craftbukkit only) and maybe some time in the future Mo' Creatures and stuff like that.

It is limited to craftbukkit-servers (and singleplayer). It is only working for those with original minecraft-accounts. AND it has optifine already integrated. Try it, you will most likely like it. and if not: just deinstall it again. The installation is not modifying the files of your original minecraft-client.
If youre scared of viruses and data-theft too much: dont use it. I dont think they do/would/will do shit like that but like it is said in "Italian Job": "I trust every human. I just dont trust the devil in everyone."

AHA yes, I had this myself. To run the most handsome texturepacks u need to raise this limit, but it wasnt hard.
