(a very simple request) Please lighten the dark Great Helms?

I oppose this fully. The dark helmets are the only helmets that look totally badass coupled with plate armor. In fact, they are my favourite helmets, because they are big and dark and make me look badass when I wear them waving my morningstar with 36 strength. They also work with the darker mail armours.

Yea I know not everyone will agree and some people will prefer them dark, after all we don't all share the same taste. however strictly  from a historical point of view these helms would be mainy used with chainmail armours like surcoat over mail or the heraldic armours so in my opinion I think they should be made to match those armours colourwise and I think if it is a majority vote to lighten them then you have to go with what the people say!

Although saying that, the devs never implement anything I ever suggest  *cough lederhosen cough* so I wouldn't worry about it too much yet Khorin

How about this:

Keep them dark but under one condition, if they stay dark then it's at the expense of ALL weaboo related things, which have totally no place in this mod, especially the Katana.

Then you can enjoy your strength build 24/7 and I never have to hate on weaboos again.

Sounds like a double win to me

Removing stuff without cause is always a stupid idea. If you want to add brighter helmets, then do so, but don't remove the darker ones. The appeal in this mod is not strict historical accuracy. It's the character customization. You can create whatever it is you want to play be it turkish peasant, samurai, german comedian, french chef or mongol spearman.

I agree totally that they should add more versions of the same thing with just different colourings etc, i mean hell been waiting on a yellow surcoat over mail a long time now.  So yes, rusty effect helmets and brand new from the blacksmith would be a nice touch.

Yes to this. You rarely see these because they are too dark and they are not matching most of the armors.

Some of the darker heavy armors look good with these helms. Rus lamellar, black coat of plates, pronoia armor, clibanarius armor match them color-wise. Not a historically accurate set of armor, but whatever.
