Question about auction

Hey,
Following question:
If I bid gold at an auction the gold disappears till the auction is over, no matter if I bid the most or not. Am I right?

If yes, I have the Question, if there is a way to check if I got my money back?
Or do I have to write everything down, and write lists how much gold I have at any time??

Yes, you get it back after the auction is over, and once that happened you get a message: "auction cancelled/lost".

But, I bid gold for a mw Katana, and dont know if I got the money back, cause I lost overview of my gold, cause of a lot of trades last days.
So, if I didnt got a message, the auction isnt over?
Cause I wrote down that the auction ends at 5.5 at 8pm. but I didnt get any message, and I cant find the auction in the list.

If you mean that auction, I can still see it and it ends, as it says, in 2 days. If it isn't over, you don't get any message of course. I bid on 3 auctions before, one ended, and two were cancelled. I got my money back and a message for each auction.

Im not sure, but it seems as if I got my money back.


About the first to auctions, it was normal not loomed stuff, and I dont care about the few hundreds gold. But if that had been loom auctions and I lost that money, it would be very shit.
Fact is, I dont see through this whole auctions stuff, cause I get no messages, get no gold, and also no item...

And what will happen with my the Katana stuff, will be a surprise for me.

The first two look like they ended. At least I cannot see them. If you cannot see any offer, you probably changed something in the settings on the left (looking for a seller name, item name, item type or rank).
If you bid something and click on cancel nothing happens, as you cannot take your offer back.

I didnt do anything on the left, I also searched for the names etc etc.

Seems as if I lost the gold, dont care about the few hundreds of gold, but as I said, if this would happen on a loom auction, it would be very shitty.

With the latest update you will get your gold back immediately if you are overbidden, only the highest bidder must deposit it. If you bid on something before that update and you are not the highest bidder anymore: increase your maximum bid by 1 and you will get back your deposited gold (unless you become the highest bidder).

There is no message sent if you are overbidden.

It is not possible to cancel a bid, the "Cancel" button just closes the details and you go back to the list (maybe i should call it "Back").
