worse then the low tier from 1hand and 2hand in my opinion

Nah, the poles got range.

Try the Practice Lance on foot, it's absolute beast for its price.

it has paulstagger which allowed me once to kill player with 80 body armor and 85 HP. I stabbed him for full two minutes, that's true, but I've managed to synchronize those stabs and keep him stunlocked. Was pretty funny thing to see.

There are a few OPs
Great Long Axe
Glaive
Awlpike
All Poleaxes
English Bill/Swiss Halberd
Bec de Corbin
Pike/Long Spear (in the right hands)

2handers have more OPs:
All Greatswords
Sword of War
Flamberge
Highland Claymore
Katana

and the cheap 2handers make more damage

Yeah, two minutes is exaggeration but it took me 10-15 stabs to kill him. He was Wolves_Ulfsark, happened last summer. He couldn't move.

Then he sucks, that's it.

Here's the deal:

There's a 50% chance to get the extra long stagger when hitting someone (if you deal more than 15 dmg before armor calcs) but a person cannot get staggered again when already in a stagger.

Conclusion: He must've just mistimed his blocks, been playing on a mac, just didn't care and tried to spam you or something.

True.

Although I do say the Torch needs a buff. +10 to light!
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Ahm great long axe is very short every 2hander outrange them and spam
Pike and long spear in the right hands?
everything is op in the right hands  and they are so slow and unbalanced and they only can stab
Either a swiss halberd it might be fast and long but the damage isnt the best and the length can also be your death

Nah, the looks is good enough. But the Torch really needs a buff. Way too bad for it's price. Give ALL torches +10 light! :D

It's always bothered me that the trident does less poke-y damage than the pitchfork.

It's got one more point, which means one more hole in someone.
Hooray for customization and hybridization!

I know that. He didn't miss blocks, I was behind him the whole time :D

Point is, you can keep someone stunned if you do it right way (both timed stabs and footwork). Of course you'll need luck, because stagger chance is 50%, as you said.

Side swings won't make this wep bounce off people less.  Power strike, WPF, and STR do that.  It doesn't have a thing to do with the weapon.  I have killed people with a little blacksmith hammer before by speccing into 1hand and having high PS.  The problem is peasants are just wimpy and if you go against other peasants then you will see that the weapon won't bounce off.

Point is, I'm talking right out of my arse.

Firstly: In order to have a chance to pull it off I'd have to hit precisely as the stagger has ended. Every time. 10-15 times. Counting ping, lags, packet loss, animation glitches, how stupidly hard it is to pull of that exact timing again and again, and comparatively how easy it is to turn around and click rmb (unless my opponent plunged his sens down playing Halo or smth).

Secondly, even if I've managed to ascend to a new, unprecedented level of nerdiness and have mastered the exact timing (while living in Kinngrimm's apartment), the chances of the stagger happening 10-15 times in a row is ridiculously low. (0.5^9 = 0.001953, 0.5^14 = 0.000061 or 0.2% and 0.006% respectively, i.e not happening)
