As in WFaS/NW except... the troops have the same loadout as you.  :mrgreen: OR maybe easier to implement, the troops have a predetermined loadout from linked to your account. Discuss!

More thoughts: linking a troop template from a cRPG account sounds better to me. Maybe balance with variable squad amounts and a total amount of gear.

...the mighty plated army of Thomas Miles try to pass the short river, 22nd_GenericRandomClone_Phase's kuyak wearing danish greatsword wielders hit the plate wearers once, then spam the slow fuckers...

1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

This would apply if it was not for the fact that Plate Armor doesn't slow you down that much unless you're 36/3, in which case you'd be slow with everything.

Balance could come in some kind of upkeep, certain level limits a.k.a. not level 31, reducing the number of bots per squad if they are more "expensive". This isn't for the sake of xp abuse or gold, if that's a problem take them out of the mix, it would just be fucking fun and epic. Commander battles except with that injection of personality that cRPG has and that other mods don't.

Imagine the different combinations of troops that people could come up with.

I don't know about crpg specifically, but I've been trying to contain erections at the thought of this kind of thing after playing Napoleanic and wondering why it didn't exist in the first place. The same theory applied to medieval battle, with unit leaders and a certain group under your command, spear lines, cav flanks, the works. Ugghhh, would be so awesome.

This would be really cool, I kinda found this game mode at NW although I've played somewhat of WFaS too. Just imagine how cool it would be to give fire command to 30 longbowmen in straight line firing towards incoming infantry. Or lead a cavalry charge to the rear of pike formation. Something that never happens on public server.

I still doubt the game mode is implementable to warband because WFaS and NW are both commercial expansions. Getting features from them to warband is not allowed. Then again making it from scratch to c-rpg is too tedious job. Porting to either NW or WFaS is out of question too I guess.

I take back my words, commander battle is in The Deluge which is a Warband mod. Not as fluent as in NW but still pretty good. Pretty fun commanding a pike block  8-)

Aw damn, it's not purely medieval, gunpowder and stuff. But still seems like an ambitious mod with plenty of cool stuff, worth checking out.
