Battlefield Maps vs. Urban Skirmish Maps

Why are 90% if not 100% of all the maps on cRPG nothing but TREES, HOUSES, and HILLS?

Do you think any battles in history were fought on a "Battlefield" and that is why they call it a "Battlefield"?

We need to have some cRPG SERVERS that play nothing but PLAINS and STEPPE or OPEN FIELD maps or aka 'BATTLEFIELD' Maps.

Just imagine fully armored knights charging the field in battle, pikemen, archers in stake boxes, etc.  Real battlefield like Total War style but you have control of your individual warrior!

What i want is maps that are well thought out, with strategic placements of hills and rivers, perhaps a dense forrest on one side etc.

Make people take the terrain into consideration, without the obvious "camp village" strategy.
