You should only use heavy armor if you doing it for looks.

If you want the best armor you gotta find something in between the light an medium fx. heavy kuyak or sarranid gaurd armor couple that with some heavy gloves and voila you have the best armor to weight ratio gear setup imho.

Best looking heavy armor imo is: druzhina elite lamelar. Combine that with some rus helmet and rus splinted greaves

as for the best looking heavy armour, well...beautiful model, beautiful texture, it can only be the Heavy Plate Armor

Anything is possible. There is heraldic brigandines and padded cloth on Mercmb mod, why cant we have a heraldic gambeson? I imagine they just replace the texture with something the matches your banner and still has the look of the gambeson and boom, heraldic gambeson
