Servers to play on!

Here we can list/discuss the servers to play on.

I will allow myself to begin with fcraft.de (what is my server). Before you try to join, read this carefully:

When we do get a Minecraft subforum, does anyone have a decent server that we can all go frontier pioneering on together in survival mode?

I got a bukkit-server... but its till on 1.0.0 and i am kinda too lazy to update it, cuz it is like this: A new MC-version comes out. then it takes at least 2 weeks until bukkit has a new recommended version. then 2 to 4 weeks until all the plugins I need/want are updated. Then 1 week until I found the mood to update and finished it. Now everything is fine... until the new MC-version comes out 2 to 4 weeks later.

So! We COULD use my server (located somewhere in the middle of germany), if somebody has the time to update it. s/he gets an FTP-account, its mostly copying the files from a to b and looking for the matching/compatible plugin versions. i can do the restarts and console-stuff, I guess.
~30 Slots should be enough. Its only a v-server (not one of those slot-servers from nitrado or whereever) so we would have to check ping and stuff, but we had 25 people on it and it worked pretty well. If we get more people and some of the players throw a coin we can upgrade the server.

Server is running on offline-mode. People can play on it, when they are registered on the website/forumz and we usually have tnt and stuff deactivated for normal players. creepers do ppl-dmg but no block-dmg. Flying/Cheating should be deactivated. iConomy+some other roleplay-plugins are running. towny was but it broke and didnt get updated for month, so I deactivated it.

I've got MC but I stopped playing after being raped  a few times by donating players using potions and shit and ones who take 20 hits and don't die but kill you in 5 even though you totally outplay them.

Pssssht public servers are for nubs. Get some friends and build something epic as a group. Me and a few others guys have been doing this for the past couple of weeks. We've got some pretty nice things in development. Typically we always play minecraft during exam/essay time

Group survival on the hardest setting (but not permadeath) would be my dream. Terraria is like that except all the time.

Would be awesome with lots of people contributing, it would grow organically.

Fair enough. I remember playing with the ENG guys and trying to booby trap their homes when they went offline , Killmoar and some of his mates made a spectacular medieval town (With cathedral).

Yupp. Somebody built a house once, near my Railstation. it was a little log-bunker, quite ugly... so I boobytrapped it with tnt, filled the whole fucking upper part with TNT and made two mines on the two doors.

Then I put a message into the board "Hey, there is no gold hidden somewhere!" and with that message the players started to look for it...
Next day I only found a hole instead of the house.

I usually do not grief. This loss was not a big one, there were no chests or something else inside that house. not even torches. (thats why a creeper got me when I found it. -.-)

One of our members used to host a MC server, but its down atm.  If we feel like playing again any time we'll be sure to come by your server

Wookie had one, too. I was on it once or twice and ran around a bit... but it was empty at that time and he had no plugins installed, afaik. Dunno what happened to it.

I got a server, too.

Small playerlimit and whitelist though.

Which means, to ensure I dont get griefers and trolls onto it, I would need an application first to let anyone in(Germans preferred, since all the people on the server are german yet).

We have a Plugin that Creepers dont do damage to blocks...not more, really.We like Vanilla

Yeah wookies was good, but it became really unbearably laggy for no reason and kept crashing a lot.  The provider was a bit shitty IMO.  And TomMyyY kept making massive water harvested wheat farms.

Yah my server becomes really laggy after a while, too. always after a new MC- or bukkitversion is out. Kinda stinks...

Okay. Server is up2date again. We got some strange map on it, PvP (no spawnkilling) allowed, on-server-registration.

map will be renewed every week, I guess...

while that I will make a Poll in the forums if the players want a freebuild-world or that city-map...
