Silly question day:

would you be interested in having a tool that takes a 3d snapshot of your char with all it's equipment and exports it in a format that would allow you to print it out with a 3d printer? What would such a figure be worth to you, money-wise?

I wouldn't really have the time to print and ship those things myself, I just thought it could be interesting and might even lead to a nice sub-hobby for some people here

However, you'd probably have to pay 50 to 150 euros for it when ordering it regularly ( eg http://www.shapeways.com/support/pricing )

3D printers don't color everything. The figure would be all 1 color. Not worth it to me.

What size the figure could be? This is sounds cool as hell but figures size of a match box costing over 50 euros isn't too tempting.

I'm interested if I manage to get access to the makerbot at the university.

The figure would only have one color but heh once you have the 3D printer using it costs pretty much nothing.
