If your raiding for the gear in it only its okay through if your going to try to capture it you give them two attacks chance for reenforcing it

Not that glitchy since you can manage weapon storage after attacks (empty castle), just a bit annoying with management

edit: still gamey at this point for samarra castle :)

You only attack the army stationed at the fief (not population) and if you win the raid's battle, you get all (or most) of the equipment and money in the fief.

Pretty sure that's it.

so if there is 0 army on castel they canmake raid all the tie to avoid defenders and make them armles???

if yes that really silly glich thing

How is it glitchy?  Put an army in the fief if you don't want it to be raided...I'm assuming you have up until 19 hours before the battle starts to reinforce, like normal.  I don't know for sure though.

Exuse my ingorenace, but how can you raid? I have never seen an option for it when i click on a fief.
Also are you sure the fief's owners have 19 hours to enforce their fief against a raid?

As I understand it...

You can convert troops to population above the normal population limit as a way to get free defenders (you don't have to pay "population").

So I could have 5000 population and 0 troops and I basically have 5000 tickets to defend with that I don't have to pay for.

BUT raiding only goes against troops so 5000 population and 0 troops means someone could do this:

Step 1) Raid the castle.  No troops so it's an automatic win and they get all the gear and gold.
Step 2) Attack the castle.  Now you have to fight that 5000 population but you stole all the gear and gold in step 1 so the castle is effectively defenseless.  5000 naked tickets.

Really I think a case can be made that you should ALWAYS raid before you attack, unless you are in a hurry.  Raiding first will give you the same castle battle you would have otherwise had but minus a lot of defender tickets.  Win that fight, take all the loot, then follow up with a real attack to claim the place.
Crush your enemies; see them driven before you; hear the lamentations of their women.

That's theory but you can keep one guy with all equipment inside the castle (safe), and then reinforcing it with equipments right after attack pop up (Raid or not). It's better to keep equipments on 1 active guy than inside fief.

+1, however, you DONT get the gold in the raid!

All good information.  And since it wasn't said directly...

Rebel if someone raids a fief that has 0 troops they get an instant win (or it may still schedule the battle for 24 hours, and you might have 5 hours to reinforce...but I think it would be instant win).

They get 1 guy I think (same as if you attack a guy with 0 troops). You also have to show up YOURSELF to attack, since nobody showing up = defender win.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Risky.

That 1 guy forgets to login for a week (internet down, computer blows up, goes on a vacation to the jungle, whatever) and you lose everything.

Similarly, you get attacked and for whatever reason he doesn't get logged in in time to reinforce, you're boned.

And even if he's alive and awake it's still better to raid.  Why fight 1000 troops + 500 population when you can just fight 1000 troops?  And you'll very likely get some equipment out of it.

The only downside I see to raiding is that you have to attack twice so the enemy has a chance to bring in another army from somewhere.
