TERA, The Exiled Realm of Aborea, made by Bluehole Studios and En Masse Entertainment.
http://tera.enmasse.com

Great game, I recommend Mount and Blade players at least take a look at it.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting it and playing till GW2 comes out. What attracts me is the open PK system (which always brings a lot of drama) and GvG thingy (altho theres no real reason to do GvG other than for the kicks). Politics sound cool too.

I tried tera, honestly its a ok mmo but far too korean, and combat is pretty ... felt like it was fucking frozen, you had to wait 2 seconds after you moved a meter till you could do an attack again.

Each class has its style.  The Berserkers have the slowest movements and hit the hardest, warriors have flowing attacks with high mobility.  The higher level you get the more fluid everything gets as well.  Sorcerers feel slower than Archers because they nuke harder.  It's their version of global cooldowns and balancing.

I'd like this thread better if the OP actually told us what's so good about it and why we, as M&B players, should like it in particular.

This.

Warband, especially cRPG killed the MMO genre, at least for me.
Just because of it's combat system.
True story.

DC Universe Online was pretty comparable in combat.. before they utterly destroyed the game by making raid grinding/gear drops >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> player skill.

Yeah DC Universe Online was not bad when it came to combat. Not as sophisticated as M&B, but still pretty good. I'd say TERA's combat system is similar to DCUOs, without targetting but less combos (and no blocking afaik).

there only 1 starting area/set of quests and they are extremely generic (all kill X). the game is a very uninspired generic mmo. prepare to be bored off your tits unless your like grinding.

The graphics are VERY high quality, but style is kiddy/asian. The combat is a HUGE improvement on most mmo's, but that isn't saying loads since most mmo's combat is complete balls.

the pvp (pvp server only atm) is completely meaningless . no real penalty/reward for pvp - just mindless ganking: mostly high levels 1 shotting lower levels who are questing.

playing the game just made me appreciate how drastically better gw2 will be.

PS: elin are proper messed up.
