LL_KillerofFlowers -- Real Life Harassment in-game

So around 9:15pm Central we were in NA Community and were talking, joking around with some of LL's troll clan members, the KbW (Keyboard Warriors) about Strategus when Flowers decided to join the conversation about how Kutt sucks, yaddy-yadda. So we exchanged words, keeping it civil and game-based, about my former position in LL, Flower's leadership, and my Nomad clan that 95% of the clan went to at one point to attempt. Anyways, that's all the setup. Flowers mentioned something prior to the statement you can see in the screenshot I made about trying to throw over the clan and blah-blah-blah and that is what I said to him. When I say real-life friends I refer to a few members whom he knows in rl and honestly couldn't cite their names for the life of me.


Anyways, what Flowers did next was something way below what the normal person should achieve in an "argument" especially in an online game, one that which Suuper3 of Hospitaller failed to abide by and served a lengthy ban for some time as well.

This is the uban essay Suuper had to write about something similar for doing pretty much the exact same thing, over the exact same material as what Flowers did.

I hope it was worth it Flowers, I would have never crossed that line between RL and cRPG even if I absolutely hated someone.

If an admin sees this, read the logs like 15 minutes from prior...

It's one thing to talk about someone clan or stuff that happened in game, it's another thing to insult a person on a personal level about any real life information regardless of whether or not it is true.

I assume already that admins will be reviewing the chat logs and verifying the entire conversation.

Honestly, if Flower's were to be banned then Tanken would need a temp ban as well.

I have nothing against Tanken, I always got along with him very well while he was in LL and I obviously support Flower's and know he isn't the type to deserve a ban, he is an exceptional person and is far from being what I would consider a "troll".

Ecko is the one who can view the logs, but I have already invited the admins to look at it if need-be. I have nothing to hide, I could have editted out probably the "worst" thing I said to him in the screenshot, but I didn't.

Flowers and I don't see eye-to-eye ever since I left LL, which is fine, I've had nothing against him until this, but even you guys backing him cannot honestly say that this wasn't* a ridiculous comment and move on his part. Everything I said to KbW before Flowers chimed in was purely for fun and insinuating at the same effect KUTT had in Uslum getting attacked after 2-3 weeks of preparation. What Flowers and I have is what it is, but his remark towards my rl is extremely unnecessary. I kept the chat civil, there was no curse words, no need for RL information, simply a cRPG based argument in a public chat--he decided to take it a step further.

So back him if you like, I won't dislike you for it, but at least don't lie and try to help him weasel his way out of what he has done. He made his decision to bring my personal, private RL information into chat with the single tap of an enter key. I'm sure if someone did that to you, you'd be screaming 10x as hard for a ban.

Not going to lie here, going by the chat logs it looks like you pretty much started the "irl" dialogue going by your comment near the top of the post, Tanken. Your story also pretty much confirms it. As a general rule of thumb, you'd all just be better off not saying something if that though involves "real life".. Seriously, nothing good is going to come of it. THAT SAID, Flowers is still majorly in the wrong here. The circumstances are honestly quite irrelevant. It'd be the same as using an ethnic slur against someone if they said you or your clan was bad,etc. Two wrongs don't make a right and those are some pretty major offenses man. Trolling with real life info is not something that is taken lightly.

Tanken, you in particular should know better than most that using IRL info in any degree is NOT ok.


Id personally like to have someone with appropriate access on community look at the logs or have more people weigh in before a final decision is reached. I (or most admins) can't look into it on our own given how differently the community servers are set up, sadly.

I'll ban him until he apologizes in here, then unban him.

If it hurts your feeling when someone uses that info against you, don't bring up irl stuff and you will be fine.

Actually, i find it completely fucking ridiculous that someone makes a forum post about an in-game arguement like this. Its like a 6 year old running to his mom because his older brother called him stupid. If your feelings get hurt over a couple of words, then its probably a smarter thing for you NOT to start verbal arguements and insults like Tanken has done so in this case. Otherwise, dont go running to the teachers when someone outwits you, cheapshot or no cheapshot.

In any other online game, this would've been laughed at or completely ignored. Tanken is lucky that the online gaming community of CRPG is small enough to have admins sit here and baby 25 year old adults. Its whats fucking wrong with the game and/or the internet community.
