You're putting it the wrong way. Shaska has the disadvantage of being a low-fueled version of the arabian cav sword, stat-wise.

Only advantage that it has over other good swords is low upkeep ... but it comes in exchange of a good cut of stats.

So... 33 cut on a 103 length 1h-sword with 97 speed is a cut of stats? Only the stab isn't that good, the rest is just fine.
And all that with just 378 gold in repair!

Because the only advantages it has compared to ACS are in the least important stats for a cav sword, thrust and speed. In the most important ones, cut and length, it's seriously inferior. It's no good as an infantry sword either, since it's slow and both cut and thrust damage are subpar.

For all these reasons it has low market value and is generally unpopular.
