showing respect is a gesture, its not supposed to shelter anyone. it is a matter of nothing more than good manners.

And what good does that gesture do? Good manners? Here's a pat on your head, good sheeple.

Well. Mr. Iamsouniquethinkingguythatnooneunderstandsmeandiamdifferent:
If Good manners, words, respect is not your cup of tea, it's time to do something.
You said that people can't eat respect. Send something then to aid those people. I can't do this, but if you diss our way of thinking, prove that yours is the better option. If not with words, then do it with deeds.

not all the things have to "do" something. everydays life is full of gestures, rituals - like saying "good morning" (you don't really wish everybody good morning and it won't make his morning good), saying "how are you boss" (by this you just admit that he is the boss although usually you aren't  interested in how he really is) etc...

it is a matter of social inteligence to understand these "manners". but i'm afraid it is very hard to explain it to somebody like you.

I never said respect isn't my cup of tea. This type of "respect" is pointless, though.

And nah, why would I send anything? I don't rightly care.

Edit: Beau, you just perfectly described why you're one of the sheeple. Thanks for saving me the trouble.

What kind of respect is not pointless then? Just wondering...

Okay, Xant, it's just weird. How many more times you want to state that you care about how you don't care? Seriously.

Have fun with your right hand tonight, Xant, i'm sure a boy with your attitude has only ever felt the callous, and yet warm grasp of his own palm.
