Editing to my first Reply: Now i have played more than 7 hours with the patch and i must say, that i must pay  much gold, only to repair my things. But thats my only problem, the rest is great  8-)

I really hope all the noobchers whining roll another class. Less random projectiles in the air makes life easier for my archer alt. Playing with a longbow, i already managed to top the scoreboards at lvl24-25. Archery feels just right.

I like what i am seeing from the patch so far.
To me it seems easy to upkeep gear, play for awhile with heavy gear then switch to light gear if your team is doing poorly or you want to gain gold faster.
(1) Archery
Archers seem really outclassed by xbows now. i would suggest having bows have the same mechanic for firing as xbows. one animation for pulling arrow out and nocking = loading xbow and then one for pulling back and firing.
with the decreased wpf it doesn't give you much time to line up shot before targeting reticule gets big.
and if you dont shoot the arrow you have to pull it out of quiver again and nock it. so really xbows have some advantages on speed and damage now.  you can pull out loaded xbow and shoot an archer before he can pull out arrow and nock it even if he just nocked it a second earlier.

I have been one of the people pushing for archers decreased speed so i was happy to see it implamented but i think it could use some tweaking.

(2) Horses
trampling teammates at start of round is really easy to do now.
is there a way to make it so horses only trample when traveling at high speeds?
also when you turn with someone standing next to you you trample them too... wtf?
horse archery is my specialty but i think xbows will be more than a match for HA's once we get more dedicated xbowmen with high wpf. (i only played on the EU servers with my HA with 200ping so my final assessment of them will come later after I play on NA server.)

(3) xp system...
I really like the new way of getting xp, removes alot of the clustered spamfests trying to be in the "xp zone"

Was thinking exactly this. Unless he means he had 10 kills vs. the cavs 50+ putting him in the top 1/3rd of the board.

At the end of the map i had a score of... 29:5, i think, maybe i played for a round or two after that too. Oh, okay, at the very end Tommmyyy caught up to me, had 30:something.

I think there are some good elements and some bad.
The goods are:
Cavalry charge, they can kill both enemy and tm.
Archers are very simple to kill by cav, it is very realistic.

The bads are:
Cavalry is too strong, it's easy to have an horse and archers can't kill plated horses, killing them is pretty difficult to 2H and impossible to 1H.
The cost of repairing equipment is very high, playing with high level equipment (plate horses, armor, flamberge...) is impossible for more than one play (different is if you are lucky and you win all the plays).
The fact could be not important, but i wanted to begin c-rpg to have my equipment and not to lose it when i lose plays (especially if i have a good score)
As i just say archers have no damage (i hit a paesant 4 times to kill him with 5 power drow and 150 wpf)

I will think about other elements but i hope patch will change for bad elements

Whats the name of ur archer? The only merc archer i've seen is Vargais, Mustikki, Nocti and Replica....

Dont say that archery is balanced, it really isnt!

BTW: Cavalry is really Easy atm, i just bought a destrier and 3 run overs on a  OK armored guy and he is dead!
Yh i forgot something, i do also top the leaderboards as a lvl 20 CAV, NOT A ARCHER!!

  I think it would be a good idea for everyone to calm down take a breath and actually you know, play the game for a week before making a final judgement. There are two things I like about the patch, even after a night of negative scores and losing gold hand over fist.
  The first thing I like is seeing a much wider range of armor and weapons as players struggle to find a balance between upkeep and playstyle.
 The second is the game is, well, harder!

Why not just get get rid of archers alltogether rather then nerfing them with each new patch? pretty soon this mod will be nothing but cavarly and infanty running around hacking eachother. Kudos to chadz on taking a good mod and destroying it just because he can. Some one should start up some servers with the original crpg mod just so people can remember the good ol days

i don't get why are not rewarded these who do something useful ?

based on damage
1. damage
2. minor bonus for killing someone (even 1hp knight can still wipe 10 peons so it deserve some bonus)
3. taking objectives or defending objectives (if any objective exist)

anyway i'm missing some improvement on gameplay types

A. sector control bonuses
B. hunt enemy leader (bonus for killing him) or Escort VIP variant
C. flag stealing game
D. improved siege

and since always i say the crossbows needs to get sway recoil from prolonged aim (the longer you aim the worse it gets)
