Shield is great, if you want something that can take a pounding from even mean axe users, something for a shielder to consider. If you have a weapon like a 1h broad axe, against another 1h axe user your shield will never be the first to break. Has great coverage against archers, they will never be able to snipe your feet or head with your shield up like they can on smaller shields. Also not even shotgunned arbalasts can penetrate it, even at point blank. Finally its heaviness = lots of glances from mauls and long mauls if you can get inside their arcs (greatmauls not so much, but does happen).
So overall I have no problems with this shields' performance, it's a very nice big shield. I am only trying to unload cuz I also have +3 heavy throwing axes and want to carry 2 stacks of them so I need a one slot shield.
Looking for viking style armour or gold in exchange (also a heavy round shield). My clan has gear restrictions, check 2nd post of this thread (under "approved gear" spoiler) to see what limits I'm working with.
