Nah in all seriousness, Langes Messer for the sidearm if you absolutely need it. I think out of 100 kills I use it maybe once, and that's because you get the peasant who has found out how to block down, but no other direction, and you and he are the last alive.

I always pick up 1h weapon lying around but when in fight I forgot to switch to them and die honorable with a long spear in my hand

Take a dagger, when you face multiple enemies coming for you switch the weapon and flee like an archer. Without big weapon length you'll sprint like Usain. Alternatively don't take weapon at all but that's not very cool.

They can actually shoot the very top of your head, and bottom of your feet, but otherwise it is an arrow magnet ( you can aim it up and down to avoid this). Any other shields forcefield will normally block any attempt at feet/head shots when blocking.
