Crafting bug?

So I've been using the Mighty Swiss Halberd for a few months now but still have 0 skill in crafting it??  Is there any reason for this?

You haven't gotten chadztext, AKA "All Thine Hard Work has paid off" with it equipped.


When you get that message (randomly when you're alive) you get 3 points in items you've got equipped and lose 1 point in items you have points in, that are not equipped.



Oh yeah, and if you're over 31 (over 30? not sure on that) you can't get the message.

Twice now I've gotten the chadztext in this current gen (700k xp from retiring).  Both times I apparently manually got off my champion courser and manually dropped my balanced heavy lance earlier in the round.  So my champ courser went from 3 skill to 1, and I still haven't got a tick with my balanced heavy lance...sad face.
