I tried the secondary on the regurlar poleaxe and this is what came out of it :
on the regurlar poleaxe, it knockdown good but it's slow, so i'd use in clustefucks, it would knockdown the enemy sometimes and do good blunt damage to tincans.
But the problem is if an enemy decided to attack me on one on one i would quicly be in trouble because of the slow speed

so it's only to be use when you gank an enemy, but if your enemy is already being ganked there's actually no need to join in the gank

if your new, try out the long hafted blade, it's got sweet animations, good range, good speed and good damage

Thanks for that info guys!  Great help!  I didn't realize the piercing damage of the German dropped so much when in secondary mode.  It was set between the Normal & German poleaxes.  But with the Elegant being the fastest of the three, and causing knockdown, I may have to try it out?!

Yeah, it's actually my favorite polearm so far!  And it's the most expensive weapon I have... and has the highest damage of any of my weapons.  I definitely plan on using it a lot, poleaxe or not.  I just hadn't tried any of them yet... and wanted to experiment.  Being the 3 most expensive polearms... I just want to see what their all about.

German, or Regular.

Elegant is a piece of garbage when compared to those two.

Experience, ofc.

okay :D

To be honest it isn't that bad, but it's the most expensive poleaxe, with a weaker stab, and damage in general.

You need way too many hits to kill somebody when compared to the other two ones.
I got way better killing efficiency when I picked up even a non-heirloomed German or Regular Poleaxe.

When I found a +3 of those.. they were insanely powerful.  :)

Yes, it's got speed, but that's pretty much the only good thing about it. Kinda makes up for my armor weight.
But it's still the crappiest one of the three, and the most expensive.

I prefer the German Poleaxe. Best damage unless you are doing lots of stabs. The length difference between German and regular Poleaxe isn't a huge difference and if you want a long polearm with side-swings then use a Glaive. Poleaxe is good depending on playstyle but stay away from the Elegant Poleaxe.

German for looks.

If you want range none of these offer the same kind of smack you run away power of the Swiss or Bill (Bill over swiss IMO). If you really want to stab some ones eye out the Awlpikes are a better option. And if you want pure swing power damage the Bards are better. Also lets not forget the Glaive.

German is the best all round, the other two have other cheaper weapons that do what they do a little differently but better.

1. GP
2. P
3. EP

But that's just my take on it.
