Got FPS stutter?

Did you set all your Graphics settings to bare minimum and turn off blood and what not trying to make it not drop to 2fps everytime you go to fight someone?

Well turn everything back to high, the stutter has nothing to do with it.

Would you care to so kindly elaborate?
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

I, personally, experience regular stutter ingame, since i got warband to use all 4 cpu cores (terrible error!).

Solutions:
a) Every time you start game, alt+ctrl+del, task manager, find mb_warband process and set affinity - don't use all cores, use the first one or two only. Stutter gone.
b) Under settings in game launcher screen, check the Force single threading - don't need to do anything every time you start the game, but you still get some minor stutter sometimes.

Changing the game to use DirectX 7 instead of DirectX 9 made a huge difference on my good'ol laptop. From ~20 fps to ~60fps. Quality of graphics go down a bit, but total gameplay experience got all the way up to clouds.

Wait, what? Single threading reads only one core, why would I do that? Game runs better with two cores normally, yes?

With some low-grade games it runs better with one core.

Now, is MB:W a low-grade game ? Test it for yourself  :o

For me the game runs most times at a constant 60fps(i capped it at 60fps). There are two times while playing where the fps goes from a solid 60, to single digits. Once while spawning at the starts of rounds, this is sometimes so bad  that rophynol if he is on the other team has been able to ride from his spawn around and kill me before my FPS. The other time is when i am about to start fighting someone, or in the middle of fighting them, It will go from a solid 60fps, to single digits.

i have put it in directx7 all settings to minimum, still getting the stutter. tried directx9 all settings to low, still stutters. multi core, single core, still stutters. so monday i said Funk it, set everything to high, turned on blood hdr, bloom all the fun stuff. still get 60fps, still get stutter, but at least the game looks nice and i get covered in blood.

Multithreading reads only one core too to be honest.

Everybody should enjoy games like that, believe me.
Its like an U.S.S Enterprise screen, about 1m away, still perfect comfort.

Just put off all dead bodies, ragdolls (u wont miss both) and put instancing on (fps get lot better)

FlightSim like Il:2 1946 bangs even more with that screen ;-)

Have you tried turning off "Load Textures On Demand"?  The spawn stutter can be really bad with that turned on.  Either way having more video ram should help.

Yes, no help. Windowed mode, no help. everything at minimum with performace rating % close to 150%, no help. just really obnoxious, but as long as people know that it can be pretty while its obnoxious this thread is helping.
