That there IS range isn't the problem and the amount of it isn't a problem, too.

Those are the things which bother me:
- The archer-animation. It just looks gay.
- Achers running away from you and shoot you at the same time. There are like 4 meters between you and the archer and you have no chance to get him.
- Throwers (especially lol-lance-throwers) or "oh i'm making a pure thrower build, that requires skill..."-my old friends.

Actually if it had really been a representation of cRPG all of those THROWN weapons (cans) would have 1-2 shot the guys running.

Exactly. I've instructed my my old friends to play as gay as they can.....there is too few of us to fight against this ranged bundle of sticksry so we are just joining the party....camp, shoot, reload, camp, shoot, reload.....that's all there is in cRPG these days.

I'm probably hit the most by arrows.  Killed the most by crossbows.  Throwing (especially lances) however, elicits the most emotion from me, whether it be rage or amusement, even though it probably actually kills me the least of all ranged.

Ranged was broken prepatch and yet again is even more broken after the patch.

Good thing melee combat got slowed down to a point of total fucking boredom.

Even more broken, what? It was all nerfs and no buffs, what are you specifically saying is broken? Anyone who thinks that Archery is more bothersome then prepatch is delusional. Now you get a light rain of arrows as opposed to a volley of ballistic missiles that have pinpoint accuracy and travel at the speed of sound.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.
