After googling for hours on end I have decided to make a thread to ask my question. At what archery proficiency does the longbow become perfectly accurate, like the reticule closes completely so the arrow goes where you are aiming?

Don't think that's achievable in cRPG :)

You should play with a pure archer build if you want to be accurate with the longbow. 18 str 24 agility, 6 power draw and 8 weaponmaster(172 wpf).  But if you want to be a rungunner you can go 18 21 with the rusbow. 6pd, 7wm (163 wpf ), 7 athletics and 3 ps . But the crosshair will never close in crpg...but its small enough to make your victims raging about your accuraty.

300-400, not that you'll ever go over 200, but yeah, around that.

Normally I say that 6 WM entirely dedicated to archery is good enough, but for the longbow it really does need 7 unless you want to shotgun or mid-range pew pew more often. Your reticule will not be super perfect with it, and for maximum accuracy you need the minimum 6PD only and as much WM as possible.

Atm I'm using 18/21 and it's preety accurate for longbow with 163 wpf, with that you can make preety nice long shots and with 7 ath you can change your position and run preety fast :)
Remember: fast legs are the best anti melee weapon ;P they can't catch you, so they can't kill you :)

LISTEN ONE OF THE BEST CRPG ARCHER_

Ahahaha, made me laugh :)

18/24 is still a very good build for longbowarchers who want to retire when they hit lvl 31. You get something like 172/173 wpf in archery which makes it accurate enough to hit even over long distance. Some practise is still needed, but you will never reach a point in crpg that closes your reticule.
However with that build you won't be a runaway archer or one of those who have much powerstrike etc because almost all your points go into archery.
If that is what you want try it out.
Later you can switch to other builds like 21/21 for example or when you stop retiring and aim for high lvls you can go as suggested 18/27  or 21/24 or whatsoever.

Good luck on your way :)

Best way to tackle archery is to put all your WPF in 2h and equip a 2h sword. Most effective archer build.
