I've got +3 Fighting axe, and I must say that I prefer this weapon over other 1slot  2H weapons (mace, langes messer and military sickle).
Mace too short, Sickle fast but short and lack serious damage, langes messer too expensive.

This weapon in 2H mode receive +2 to speed and +4 to damage. Also this is only one 2H weapon that can break shields and do not have «Unbalanced» tag.
Even in 1H mode it's longest shieldbreaker.

Langes is the true side arm of the Landsknecht Doppelsöldner. Fighting axe is a nice piece. If you pike this up for 375-380 given the current market that's a good buy.
