Age of Conan: Unchained

yes it's an MMO. I play on Tyranny server as Zjsa or Zija.

as a freeloader there are some restrictions:
no global chat - can not even see it. Long hours where the only chat you'll see is New player help channel some gold farmer.
no alternate feats (probably a factor)
limited class/race selection
limited inventory ( you can get better packs in game, but your starting inventory is halved)

Combat is kind of interesting, for an MMO.

PvP seems to consist of:
joining PvP mini games
jumping newbs
attacking people talking to NPCs
joining a group in order to track someone then leave and attack.
or if you are lucky some friendly dueling.

There's lots of buttons to click while fighting and keys to press ( which will make anyone from warband wish they discovered this ccontrol method). Melee is interesting enough with the combos, and early going there is no sleeping at the wheel as the mobs can kill you.

Eventually you'll get ganked, probably by some kiting ranger, or fight someone you can not turn fast enough to keep in your sights (no mouse sensitivity in this game). Still not sure of the PvP though I would guess organised groups are more fun. It's certainly mroe fun in a group when someone jumps your 'lone' team mate and you surprise them.

As a freeloader, and without a guild, it will play like a single player game, though the mobs are standard MMO stupid, with the occasional random geek hunting you to break it up.

It is quite pretty, with DX10 available. Worth playing? well.. it's free, and not quite as boring as some other MMOs.

I played it like 3 years ago, it was suppose to be a great game but they ruined it with lots of bugs (that later got fixed) and in my opinion too many magic shit for a Conan World Lore. They made this interesting combo melee fighting system that was quite innovative for a MMORPG but instead of thriving for all-melee fighting (with only bows being ranged) they made classes like Necromancer, Demonologist and similar shit which is not fitting for that world, mages were rare in the Age of Conan and they should've been made mostly NPC's or Dungeon & Raid bosses. PvP was totally broken, a Barbarian couldn't even hit a Necro because a pack of skeletons would get you first. Huge potential wasted, one of my biggest personal regrets for a game that could've been the real thing.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

Played it for a bit, the executions were my favorite.
Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.

Played it for a bit but I just didn't really get into that much, found the combat to be pretty annoying at times, just mostly whoever can strafe around the other guy the fastest mashing number buttons in most cases, had a bit of fun with it but just lost interest pretty early in the game. Then again there isn't a single MMORPG that holds my attention for long nowadays.

Age of Conan would be OK if it wasn't gear to win and didn't have gamebreaking exploitable bugs like combo skipping.

I heard that they fixed it

Well that took them only a few years, if they actually fixed it.
