Request NA Melee only server!!!

Restore the LL image, convert it to melee 24/7! 

It will be interesting to see how long it lasts though, IMO melee only gets a bit boring after awhile, but removing cav crushthrough & pikes would help a bit.

Only time when I get bored of melee is when I'm fighting 1vs1 or 1vs2 against some noobs who are so bad that I end up killing them every damn time. Happened yesterday on melee only server when everyone left for EU1 (when it finally became available). Killing the same guy for 15th time in a row sure is boring as hell. I'm truly glad there are so many better players than me, otherwise I wouldn't even play this game.

Thovex, could you give Flowers your config file? He can't seem to get the disallow range armor and the change number of bots per team poll to work (as in go away) xD

I'm going to bump this again. 

I spend almost all of my time in-game dodging either missiles or cav.  I get maybe a minute, if I'm lucky, of melee combat in a round; and that's why most of us are here, right, the melee combat mechanics?.  I can't speak for other melee players but battle simply isn't fun for me any more.  We need one of these servers over here.  Put "NA_Melee" in the name, copy-paste the EU rules and make it 24/7 melee.  I doubt you'd have problems keeping it alive then.  We already have at lease one volunteer for admin'ing it too.

Although I'm neutral on pikes since removing pikes and longspears just means bamboo spears etc will be the next thing.  But whatever.

If you needed any help with admining I could offer my meager 0-2 hours a night, but there are probably more active admin choices out there.

People rarely use shorter pikes on our melee server and that's a good thing. Pikes in this game can remove many options one melee fighter has when fighting someone. They are anti-skill weapons, especially when used by a group of pikemen. Realistic = yes, lame = pretty much.

I already have a 30 man server all set up and i would be fine into either making it melee only 24/7 or to make it weekends only. Whichever one people would rather have

If you need help for your server just pm me i can help you set up the maps, give you the list of maps and the links to the ones that are modified (closer spawns in most cases) and already tested for melee and also the scene.txt file so you do not need to hand modify them all there. You would just need to copy paste (granted that you put the maps into the blank names that are on my list when uploading)

Also the config line where the ranged weapons are disabled
