To add something constructive; I am currently in love with the Skyrim soundtrack, and I've been so for quite a while. Some of the older Halo tracks aren't to be disregarded either.

MANOWAR! And other sorts of heavy fuckin' metal. (Sabaton, Blind Guardian, SoaD, Opeth, etc).
Sometimes I like to mix in some sweet classical music too (Vivaldi, Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Grieg, etc).

I tend to prefer the composed music in japanese games... Many western composers try to be too special, trap themselves into their subgenre and sometimes fail to make something that sounds good.
