Check out the screens I just posted  :)

It sounds like it's going to be a lot more terrain based as opposed to city based. It shall be interesting to see how it plays out. Certainly a change of pace.

Regardless the official announcement is on monday  :)

Well, it makes sense.

That cave where the last game led the story, is in America.

So they have to use that place on the "ancestor" side as well, it's totally reasonable.

Cant we ever get around the USA crap already? Not that I have anything against USA or smthing...but seriuslly. There are other places too....... What  would a member of the ancient assassins order that has  mainly been operational around Europe for over hundreds of years suddenly be doing in an American Idependence war? It always seems like when shit hits the fan its always the USA. Aliens, odd new diseases, assassins, wierd conspiracies.  :mrgreen:To be honest I tought that pic was just a joke at first....but wow.

PS: Im also getting real tired of always saving New York: Chrysis, Prototype etc

I think Istanbul was my favourite location so far. The vibrancy was fantastic.

Wasn't Istanbul the newest? In my opinion the game gets just better every new one.

Yeah, Istanbul was the newest one.

I really liked Cappadocia, with that cave-like town. That was just amazing.

Maybe if they had changed up the assassin uniform a tad...guy couldn't look more out of place if he was dressed in jeans and a leather jacket. But anachronisms are part of the fun of the game I guess, but where it had this steampunk charm to it in certain locales, I think the idea of a AC protagonist (practically unchanged from an art direction pov) in the Revolutionary War sounds and looks completely ridiculous.
I look forward to seeing if the role of the french in the Rev War is approached at all. It's Ubisoft, so good chances, but the game is also obviously being marketed primarily to US consumers.
And there's an enduring pop culture myth that the wily americans won against the british by using indian style guerilla tactics, as opposed to all those dumb euro's marching in straight lines to shoot at each other in suicidal volleys.

But.. but Hollywood told me that, it must be real what I see in a Mel Gibson movie!

Well they have a working formula and they don't change it to much. The location change to the USA, as opposed to ancient cities, will probably be the biggest change to the game they've really made. Usually it's just extra equipment, more kill moves, weapons ect. Though the addition of the recruiting/store buying was a nice addition as well.

But generally, as long as they stick to that formula, these games should continue to be pretty successful.

Well I kinda like the change.
Didn't play through a single of the games since I always got bored half way in.

This looks promising though and I am kinda hoping for a bit more stealth and challenge this time.

Also in before Assassins Creed 4 in WWII setting.
After they released 2-10 in between ones based on 3
