Nah, it appears that, unlike Narf, Zimke has no idea how that kind armor was made.
The look of the cuirass is just wrong. Horribly wrong. In the 16th century it was made of a single piece of steel.

True, but are those really different plates or just embellishments? I agree though it looks a bit wierd especially with what appears to be rivets on the first pic..

These are CLEARLY embellishment. There is no gap between the "parts" and the frame around the plate is continuous. The rivets are probably just reinforcements.

OK, I give up . The second texture is OK (let's assume this 3/4 armor is kinda fancy), even though I've never seen this kind of stuff (well, I'm by no means good in 16th century armor and weapons anyways), the first, however, isn't. This kind of "reinforcement" with fancy embellishment makes little to no sense for the cheap version of the cuirass. And, I repeat, I've never seen anything like this before.

I actually rather like this.  It's maybe not my personal choice as far as what I'd use but I think we could definitely use some more diversity. 


NOW Find a way to make it Heraldic and I'm all over that!!  I especially like the gauntlets.  I  like  that they match the armor.

Oh, but I agree While it seems to me the texturer meant it to be in one piece I've personally never seen anything like these 'reinforcements' before either, at least not that I've noticed..

Just embellishment as you said, and pretty much ugly ones too, did that ages ago when I didn't know how to texture. If I find time to replace them from AOC II they will be shared, till then all AOC II items are not for sharing.

By the way the name of the Narfs armor is not Landsknecht Armor, it's called Three-quarter armour or sometimes Half-armour.
