Well, the wakizashi has 104 speed. That's wicked fast. Actually it's the fastest in the game (that can block), and no other weapon has 104 speed or more with that length. If you don't like the wakizashi and have to be a ninja use the katana.

Short falchion has same speed but cost 6.5k less. And there are many swords with 103 speed and 11 more length.

I think that wakizashi can have one of this options

1 - another 0 slot weapon
2 - hybrid 1h\2h weapon.

It has long enough handle for two hands

Katana ain't fast enough? Why don't you ask Paul to buff it, I'm sure he would gladly do it.

Don't worry about Fasaderp, he's dead anyway.

All that did was even further minimize variety in the game, as no one is going to pay 300% more just to wear a colorful shirt...
Wrong, I've worn nobleman clothes. Being exquisite is cool.

Historically speaking, anyone that actually used Japanese weapons on a medieval European battlefield was probably some fancy-pants spice merchant who couldn't swing a sword to save their life. The "weaboo stat penalty" on Japanese equipment in cRPG is just a reflection of this fact.

'Historically speaking'

Game balance wise it eats my money as I repair a weapon I never use and hold only to look cool. (Some people actually care about looking cool in this game as opposed to having the most buff stats possible)

My full tin can alt can wear his full armor have 2 weapons + a long dagger but at least he isn't forking out near 600g for his useless dagger on top of all his other equip.

& C-rpg as far as I know is based in Calradia. "Facts" about medieval europe (and fancy pants spice traders?) should have no say here.

Anyway would be amazing if this thing got it's price lowered, now that I'm actually trying to save money to buy something special I'm finding that bringing the wakizashi is just a waste of A LOT of cash.

Mori, your sarcasm meter is broken.

I say just adjust the upkeep calculation so you have a diminished chance of item breakage the longer it remains sheathed. After all, it's silly that a sword could break just as frequently from dangling at your side as one being used in actual combat.
