Okay.

Now post a version without music.

Thanks.

PS: Thank god, it's not having constant background music that tries to influence you.  :)
Only at certain parts.

How is this a confession of anything? He's giving a lecture on the massive demographic changes and the effects they're going to have in the next century. Anyone could tell you the exact same thing by looking at population projections from research papers. Why do you think Western governments have been pushing immigration so much? Just because of some guilt ridden feeling about poor people looking for a better life? It's because they have a higher birthrate, mostly for cultural reasons. And again, mostly because of cultural reasons (most importantly the entrance of women in the workforce, equal rights, higher education becoming a must have for a career, etc...) Westerners have a birthrate barely at replacement level.
The idea that the World Bank can somehow dictate wether China will or not become a massive economy, with a growing industrial base, 1.3 billion people and a business friendly autocratic government, is a stupid, stupid conspiracy. This guy knows whats coming, and he doesnt pull any punches, but it's not a shadowy organization pulling strings anywhere, it's just the effects of an increasingly globalized economy and culture.

While Oberyn is right there are actual conspiracies in the World, but, in general a lot often mistake personal greed and self-preservation for some sort of conspiracy. Human beings have a short lifespan and a lot, some would even say most, do not care about the bonds they'll leave behind once they're gone nor about others suffering while they're alive. It is all about them (you) being center of the Universe, or on the complete contrary how everything is insignificant on our wonderful blue marble in the "big picture" (universe). Greed.

The fact of the matter is that China is extremely corrupt, while they have labor laws almost exactly the same as in Western countries they do not obey them, people are literally worked to death over especially electronics products such as all Apple's merchandise. They don't even make those electronics with machines they're assembled by hand by Chinese workers doing 12 to 18 hour shifts, there's an account of someone being worked for 36 hours until he dropped dead. The suicide rate among Chinese workers is insane and just to take an example with Apple again, they purposely did not (and do not) do anything to help better the working conditions of the factory workers that makes their products, even though they have record high profits, so much money, they don't care. Again, greed.

FoxConn - world's largest maker of electronic components, about 40% or almost half of all electronics in the World come from FoxConn factories. They're a monstrosity, in China they have walled complexes surrounding the factory area, with their own TV network for sending propaganda 24/7, their own (none of it actually regulated or checked upon) hospital, own bank, and so on, basically every part of the workers' lives in 'Foxconn City' (as they call it) are controlled by this company.

The conditions are so bad that people try and kill themselves every day by throwing themselves off the roof of the factory, but instead of bettering the work conditions in any way shape or form, they installed nets to catch people when they'd  jump.

Matter of the fact is that even the Chinese people are waking up, the younger generation did already earlier try to change their situation for the better by using the Internet to spread information, but the control (big brother) is extreme in China beyond your wildest imagination, and their efforts were quickly dealt with by closing access to social media and otherwise keeping it out of the public's eye. Those who follow the news should recall this as well.

The fact that most electronics come from 1 city in China, which didn't exist 10 years ago.

How we get most of our electronics (Interview with Mike Daisey)
Quote
Mike Daisey, creator of THE AGONY AND THE ECSTASY OF STEVE JOBS, talks with Bill Maher about Apple's human rights violations in China, where thousands toil making iPhones and iPads in miserable working conditions while Apple realizes record-shattering profits. Learn more at http://mikedaisey.com/

In January 2012, Mike Daisey and Nicholas Kristof appeared on This American Life detailing their first-hand experiences at Foxconn. For example, they noted that some amount of child labor was found [51][50], and that companies maintain "blacklists" of "troublemakers", workers who demand overtime pay. Daisey estimated that about 5% of the workers he talked to were underage Also, N-hexane, a solvent and neurotoxin was used as a screen cleaning material since it evaporates faster than alcohol. Kristof made the point in the interview that even such factories have made a tremendous positive economic difference for the people of the local area, saying it had been just a poor rice paddy economy before and now it's high tech factories where people can make more money consistently despite the working conditions. He had made this same point in a 2000 New York Times article.

Quote from: Wikipedia
In January 2012, 150 workers in Wuhan threatened to commit mass suicide because of worsening work conditions. The employees had asked for a raise but were told they could either quit with compensation or keep their jobs with no raise. The employees quit, but did not receive their compensation.

Bottom line is that China is extremely corrupt and there is without a doubt organized (conspiracies) criminal activities going on in both the government and corporate system.

TIL nothing new.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

I don't really call that a "conspiracy". It's not a secret that China is run by big businesses. However, I do see that things will improve in the future. Regions of China where people were practically enslaved a few years ago are now developping economically. The whole coast is shifting out of the industrial sector, as people on the place have enriched and workers from the west don't need to move that far from home to find work now. The same scenario is repeated everywhere the heavy industry goes.

Don't forget this was one of the darkest hours of Western history. The same things that happened in Europe two centuries ago now happen in China on the economics perspective. The same things that happened in Europe two centuries ago now happen in North Africa on the political perspective. Revolutions go not backwards. Valuing the human life is something that takes quite some time. And I don't quite think we will ever learn it for good.
