Good.

Anything, to stop the annoying lagspikes during a fight, it always seems to happen in the most important seconds to me.

Well, I know.. "get a good PC", but still.
I've got a quad core, 8gb ram, 560GTX TI, blah blah blah, nice computer and I occasionally spike (usually at the worst possible times.)

Are you talking lag as in warping around?
Cause I also get that during melee fights.

If you get actual screen freezes try disabling multi threading in the warband launcher advanced options.

Talking frame lag. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's when I'm about to engage in melee so I pretty much die. Will see if that removes it completely, otherwise it's a non-issue since it's not common.

Reduce the number of trees = Less Lag

how do u do that? I mean, its no option in the game setting, you can only make the trees look ugly to increase performance, which does not really help for me, its the quantity of trees that drop my fps on some maps....

I do that by editing in to the module ini. But the problem is : I will always crash into invisible trees and its very annoying. Trees does makes the game lag if you don't have a good pc. If there are over 100 tress it can make the whole game lag for everyone. Depend on how many trees in specific area though

P.S : I have a laptop

Those who say that 40 FPS is fine is way off. That FPS counter must be some serious bullshit because the game doesn't feel smooth to me with <100 fps.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

I think it is some serious bullshit. Regular TV is like 25 fps and that is reasonably smooth. I notice it when I go to 60 from 120 and that makes no sense at all.

I think either packet loss or processing either client or server side is a bigger problem for me and most other people than the graphical issues. Sometimes, I swing at someone, nothing happens, I think I've missed and then a second later they fall dead. Sometimes I die without my enemy apparently moving. That's not stuttering graphics, that's something else.

Its not really 25 fps. Basically on tv you have two pictures at 25 Hz which together combine into a complete picture which is at 50Hz. 60Hz for US/Japan...

You need roughly about 50 pictures per second so that the eye-resolution is too small to conceive every single picture.
The same with Videogames. Witch the exception that they are not interlaced (2 pics together like i said above). So to get a real liquid Videostream you would need roughly 50 fps or more...

Okay just installed again with the new patch and Final_Bosss Heirloom-pack.
Chieftain Helmet mesh is not found, Black armor, Bear paws are invisible and i crash a lot to desktop which never ever happened before.

Exactly. Anything below 100 is not fun to play, and on most of the new very big maps with like 9000 trees I always have below 100 -.-

lol ive had 30 always that i have played, maybe my eyes have adjusted to the shittiness, but it is fine for me (except the ocasional frozen screen, but iirc thats a warband problem)

@BlameMeForTheNoise

Seems you kinda messes up something there, black armor is native, not affected by this pack by any means. So, fix cRPG via launcher, put the textures only from this pack and then put heirloom pack, then enjoy  Just placed the texture files again after new patch and no issues what so ever.

Thanks Zimke for the fast reply. I will do that. Hmm.

EDIT: I've done that and have no crashes anymore still have crashes every 20 minutes. But the Black plate with stripes, the gjermundbu-helmet, Bear-Paw shoes, and the black gauntlets (none of them from native)are invisible for me. I think the (new) Black armor too. Its not the native-texture anymore.

I installed Texture optimization first, then the heirloom-pack, then the Bannerpack.

Using this pack after the last patch is useless since everything was included in the patch and brfs were changed.

Do not install this.
