Now I know what you are thinking.OMG we already have had threads about this! Its true, but over time, your skill levels wax and wane, peak and trough, new players rise and old fall. I know if you asked me the question a year ago I would have laughed and said, nobody. But partly because of the transition from a school to working life, partly my shite pc dieing and developing new faults every day, and partly because of the massive improvements made by the community, I would no longer think that. I have mellowed out as a player into a much more relaxed supportive style, and I am no longer the terror on the battlefield I was a year ago. So as we have passed through the first month of the new year, I would like to see who makes a real difference on the field in this year of 2012.
Put the name of the person you respect and revere and the reason why next to it. Now this is not about who you can or cannot beat. It has to be a good reason. Like your admiration for their persistance, their impact on you in teamspeak, the knowledge that you will survive fighting 10 people with them at their side, or you just simply think - Oh fuck this is gonna be a struggle, when you see them. Dont just put down someone who you hear is a legendary player. Put the people who make a difference to your perspective of a fight, no matter how obscure their name may be.
So here is my list:
Kansuke - For his endless persistance in our 1h duels and for wanting to steal every weapon I use.
Chase - For his competence with any weapon. Whatever he picks up, be it sword, bow or spear - it becomes a deathbringer in his hands.
Tenne - For sticking to his longbow through the thick and thin of it, nerf after nerf.
Tuonela - WHAT THE FUCK, JUST DIE YOU BASTARD!
Noctivagant - For keeping teamspeak humourous even in the worst of battles.
Cooties - For charging in at insanely numerous hordes and somehow coming out alive at the other side.
Phyrex&Phase - For both being gods at 2h, then sucking ass with any other class.
Lizardman - for his archer backstabbing abilities.
Blackholes - For being the player who took on board literally everything I taught.
FranI love youan - For the way he says what as what'e. And for being my rage respecc bro.
Huey - The only scary NA cav.
Zerobot&Arrowblood - For using aimbot.
Kinngrimm&Tuetensuppe - For always running into my kicks.
Tor! - for hiltslashing like a baws with the axe and being such a cool guy.
Dezilagel - For intense polearm fights.
Tyr - For the tanking mentality on battlefields that cuts down swathes and for your mild racism that you use to annoy me.
Vex&Serth - For being such cute little norweigan trolls.
Leoking - One of the few dangerous agi shielders.
Akincibegi - For always being in the right place at the right time.
TuckMunck&Xandhold - For having such a respectable little clan full good players.
Phazh - For his ability to talk over literally anyone.
Lor&Gorn - For always making me groan when I fight them, it will never be easy.
Craftybadger - a truely terrifying pikeman.
Sjarken - No longer playing, but always kind, funny and efficient at piking.
Slickyricky - For having an armour set that Im insanely jealous of.
Koldborn - For his efficiency in all classes, and putting up with me and siiem back in the day.
DaveUKR - For giving me a good argument about literally anything.
Meow - For being a wise man of the internet.
Rhyden - A man with 100 ping who fights like a man with 10.
Siiem - For being my old trollbuddy.
Storm - For being a gay swiss rent boy. God I miss the guy sometimes.
Thovex - For being a melee server badmin.
Logen&Darkfox&TheStig - Russian beserker triplets.
How could I forget Tiberias....
Pebble pusher - The stuff of legends..
Tore - Founder of my fanclub.
Blackbow - He is an archer and a pimp, a rare combo, usually archer are pussies...
