If people want to work towards something, I recommend heirlooms. Retirement will be back soon, and the only condition will be level 31.

I don't know if heirlooms are currently strong or hardly worth it, if it's the latter, they might get a buff. I'll check with the items team.

Also, there will be a, how should I put it without revealing too much, very special set of "skills" that you can acquire soon, in another way than simply leveling. This should make things very interesting for people that want to have more persistance to their char, without breaking the balance that the game has currently recieved (aka not making them godlike).

Now let me get back to finishing that patch, just dropped in here to announce this :).

I want my special set of "skills" :)

Personally the only thing that is wrong with this game is that it allows alts and frequent name changes so you never ever know who you are actually going against.  I wish it was not like that.

I would pay for it to not be like that.  And that is one way to get rid of it.

relevance to topic?
and what? what is the problem when you don't know what other characters the one you fight with has?

I like it very much if you reveal who plays or former played which alt. Also it is fun for example that I was accused of autoblocking with one alt three times now, never happened with my main and I'm really not that good at blocking.

and good chadz seems not corrupt.

I always liked how darkfall the mmo had a policy where you have one character and one character name so your reputation stuck with you always.

I can always change my name over and over but I do not buy into it like tears does.  It is a cheap cop out and I remember CRPG having a naming policy before but they really have been relaxed about it.  Before they only let you change names when you changed clans.  Now they do not give a shit.

I want it back the old way.

I'm level 34 and everything is cool but I would like an free respec option every now and then. Or to be able to use sacrifice option.

With level 34 you can have some epic builds. Sadly mine ain't special at all.

Sometimes i feel like playing in a new community, i cant identify but handfull of old players.

I loved it when just looking at your enemy you knew who it is. People had their "signature" armor and weapons, often unique look. And took pride in them, i know i did.
But this was all before the retiring and easy gold.
Once you got your gold and bought the armor/weapons you liked you better use em, because it took a long time to get gold and buy a new one.
(And the wipe's make sure, you never ever had too much gold.)

But that was then and this is now.

As for topic.
Being lvl 33-34, does not help you that much. Tested that and retired.
Retiring itself was to test the looms and builds. Looms are overrated, but if you are going test something new, why not retire?
So the question was: "What is the incentive to grind after you hit lvl 33?"
For me: There is none, but there is no incentive to retire anymore neither.  :|

I can always change my name over and over but I do not buy into it like tears does.

Excuse me?  :?

I've always been known as Xocoyol or Tears_of_Destiny, and only ditched Xocoyol because people on teamspeak can't pronounce Nahuatl very well.

When have I ever said I've "bought into it?" I for one like persistent reputations for many reasons.

Unless you are referring to my love of alts:
Personally the only thing that is wrong with this game is that it allows alts
Of which I have to say, I don't use alts to "hide who I am" but instead use them so I don't get bored out of my skull when playing. Playing as just one class at a time is a horrible idea for a game, nothing to do with masking reputation.

Hell, if enough people are that concerned I suppose I could post a list of all my characters (right now simply too lazy).

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.
