I don't run competitively. Most go on long runs for fun, usually a few miles. Done a few 10k's for charity. Want to do a marathon sometime. The 10k's are too easy.

Wait till you go from your high altitude in the mountains to somewhere at sea level, you won't believe the difference the first few weeks.  Since you like swimming have you thought of one of the half or quarter tri-athlons instead of a marathon?

Good for busy people who have a bunch of other people who follow them, or if you want to be on top of things from say NASA, CASI, Congress etc. Or follow Micha Collins for the luls.
