About the new bows/quivers

Dear devs, can't you just upload something with the old bow textures to download it for those who want?

I don't know anything about modding etc thus I can't change them on my own.

These new textures really kill my fun.

I'm not pleased with the archernerf, but I can live with it. With these new textures though I really don't have any fun playing... :/

It must be so terrible to play with high-res realistic looking weapons.

Yeah, sure is awesome when they glow in the dark, and look like bananas and toy bows.
Hooray for customization and hybridization!
Down with monotonous pure classes!

I don't know who these wanna-be historians are we have here in crpg, but as far as I know every second person here thinks of himself as a historian

These bows look in no way like realistic medieval bows. They look like bad replicas people use today, nothing else.

But this thread isn't about discussing that matter. If you like to shoot with toy-bows, unrealistic looking quivers etc have fun, I don't want that.

The new models are definently not realistic thats true, but the prepatch models also weren't realistic.

The native arrows are 102cm-107cm long and the new arrows have nearly the same length, so this size is absolutly not
realistic.

Medieval arrows which were made for longbows got an absolute(including the shaft and arrowhead) length about ~80cm to ~90cm...
shorter bows shot shorter arrows.
The arrowshafts also were thinner than the warband ones.

The same for bows.
The shape of the bows are not historical accurate and some of the bows wouldn't be able to shot an arrow,
because of the unrealistic shapes.
For example the longbow model... it simply would brake in the middle of it, if it would be drawn IRL.

This. I have a real Rus bow now, instead of a "real" hollywood warbow. I dunno about the other models, but my MW Rus looks like the real deal.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

To be honest Rus Bow now looks like Hun Bow. I've got nothing against Hun bow model, but I think it will be better to change name to Hun Bow accordingly.

Never said they were, but at least they didn't look like toys^^

So dear devs, anyone making something like this to please some of your players?

I don't care about realism, but the bows are really ugly and become uglier each time I look at them. An option to revert this would be really nice.
