Beeing shot in any vital organ should kill...

As I observed before the patch, archers had a pretty low kill count when comparing to the other classes. instead of increasing damage, or something to fix that, they chose to decrease it. I dont know how the other guys are handeling it, but my char at least is doing way worse now.

Archers do not need to have a high kill count (they should have a high assist count, but high kill count is icing on the cake).  In fact, no class needs a high kill count, even those that are the "big killers" on the battlefield.  That said, this ranged change was a bit of a throw from left field imo.

Battle needs serious reconstruction, it should be made more like rageball where you can have as high k/d as you want but it will mean nothing because it's the teamplay that matters not k/d.

Bring more teamplay in battle. If it's not possible completely remove it and implement new mod instead of it (like domination). Why I'm saying to remove it? Well people are dumb fucks and will never start playing other modes if you don't remove the lamest mod this game has to offer.

Currently rageball is superior mod compared to battle. We need more modes with similar idea, modes with respawn points.

Well if rageball can change the scoring system, is there a way to add 'damage dealt' as the primary sorting feature for battle?  That would be pretty awesome, and would also help a lot more in determining balance.  As long as it took the total damage the player ended up doing... not say 300 damage for an arbalest headshot when the target only had 40 hp left or something...

So it's currently 43 of 128 votes saying nerf was great and most are saying that it was too extreme or not needed at all.

I can smell some bad melee players here.

I would personally not take the "I'm ranged/I'm melee" part of the poll seriously. I'm even surprised that there aren't more

"I'm melee and I don't like the nerf" or "I'm ranged and I like it" vote. Obviously at least a part of those votes are done by people that aren't what they claim to be.

To be hones, first map after the patch i played, i saw few archers top the scoreboards, i know it doesnt matter, but how the fuck should i find out that some nerf has happened when it clearly doesnt look like it?  :mrgreen:

Never had problem with cavs or ranged and never whined about those. And I admit, I'm really bad. So those whining must be something horrible against ranged.

Also...

When only headshots deal any real damage, it means that you need quite high wpf invested to make those.... and that means it's again bad for hybrids. And then we whine that archers run and dont come in melee range.

I've pretty much only played pure melee in cRPG, and I think the nerf wasn't necessary.

The problem wasn't that archers individually did too much damage, the problem was that in some cases, there were too many archers, and not enough shielders to compensate for all of the ranged fire, since cRPG (at least in NA1) seems to be very 2H/Polearm dominant.
