Hi! In the "Game Balance Discussion" section we've got another thread about the ranged stuff going, plus a poll. I got into more detail there. But as far as this thread's concerned, I agree that the rapidity and extremity of these buffs/nerfs are erratic and unbalancing.
If they're going to do higher body damage, lower limb damage, why not wait until a complete system is in place, post about it, get feedback and then implement? Why not give melee damage modifiers based on limb/body also?
Until they have a fully-formed system, it's just disruptive and irresponsible to dump these big changes on the players and leave us hanging until they've reworked a rash design.
My vote is that they revert ranged to prepatch values and take some extra time to figure out balance, instead of rushing things through to placate the QQers who can't be bothered to get behind shields or learn to run side-to-side.
