kills give xp an old topic?

i think we should get a little extra xp for killing ppl but make it cap it by lvls such for example:
1-5 =100
6-10=250
11-15=600
16-20=850
21-25=1000
26-31=1250
i myself don't get a lot of kills and most of the time get on a none winning side unless my clans on i think this would help out a lot with lvling an wouldn't be to hard to program in your system i believe.

ok discuss

This has been brought up dozens upon dozens of times. It's not a good idea, because:

1. it doesn't reward teamplay at all, only individual achievement.
2. it doesn't reward people for supporting (i.e pike poking around teammates to let them get the hits in, or shielder protecting team from ranged)
3. we already have enough bloodlust that teamwounds and teamkills happen due to people rushing in to get an easy kill even with NO reward for it.
4. The rich get richer. Good players who have played a long time will be able to retire even faster and the gap between new and old players will grow even more rapidly.

I like the idea of rewarding people for doing something useful. Im against XP for kills for the reasons Zerran listed.

What I would like to see though is xp gain or stats for teamwork related action. When an archer for example hits an enemy melee, giving his teammate the opportunity to kill the stunnned foe it should be rewarded. Of course there would be some lines of code needed that determine when this is exactly the case. Other examples would be killing enemies in flag range, shielding a projectile that would have hit a teammate or piking an enemy horse that would have been collided with a friendly.

Setting up rules so the game can tell when these actually are the case would surely require a little work but yeah.

Reward for teamplay = YES !

IMO, they could reward us for kills differently- not by exp but gold.
Not alot but still enough to make people use better equipment more often etc.
