Pretty much this. There are also only two (one?) members in the guild who aren't below the age of 18. The majority are at the age of 14-15.

Less than 15% of The Risen are above 18 and we are doing pretty well. So kinda fail to make them look bad by having young members.

I saw your front page, and btw Romans did use rudimentary Xbows. Actually the first xbow was before the romans, probably the greek Gastraphetes, so don't feel ashamed to use them.
We call our xbowmens manuballistarii, from Manuballistae, one of the first and more clumsy roman models. Luckly, we took better xbow from the barbarians  .
