Old people: Forgetful, slow and often weak.

Level 32s are old as the freaking hill!

The game should reflect the oldness of these old coots.

I say there should be a chance they forget where they put that item down, and their check book. And it takes them days to find them again.
And some days are better than others when your old. So when its raining they should get horribly painful arthritus and walk slow as turtle!

What we have now is TOTALLY UNREALISTIC! It should be fixed!

Cheers,
Frank

Yeah. Once players get to age of 35 or so start dropping str and agi by 0.5 per level above that.

So you think, that a person who has fought for his whole life will suddenly lose all his skills and refelxes, just because he becomes 48 or something? o.O

In which kind of world do you live?

Dezilagel do you just pretend to be dumb or did your mother throw you against a wall in your childhood?

What does this have to do with realism?

I know enough people in the martial arts I'm doing who are between 40 and 50 and they still have very good reflexes and are still able to kick young guys asses

If you want to talk about realism you should maybe go out into the real world and check out how people with for example age of 48 really are if they did sport/ or in our case fighting with weapons (which is still some kind of sport, thus healthy) their whole life

I heard that a Japanese 60yo + once threw a bear judo style.

Oh here it is:

Quote
MATSUMOTO, Nagano -- A man used a judo throw to scare off a bear that attacked him while he was picking mushrooms on a Nagano Prefecture mountain Monday afternoon, police said Tuesday.

At around 3:50 p.m., Keiichi Yamaguchi, 63, a resident of Matsuda, Kanagawa Prefecture, was picking mushrooms on a mountain in Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, when an Asiatic black bear suddenly attacked him, police said.

The bear bit Yamaguchi on the hand and left thigh and he responded by hitting it on the nose and in the stomach. When he used a judo technique to hurl the bear, it ran away from the scene. The bear was about 170 centimeters long, police said.

Yamaguchi said his injuries are not serious, but he intends to receive medical treatment at a local hospital. (Compiled from Mainichi and wire reports, Japan, Aug. 19, 2003)

If you want realism plz don't forget that during middle ages people hardly reached 40 years of lifetime. Most died much earlier - on the battlefield even more when they got a hit in the head.
The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.

True that, but they died due to bad life standards or on the battlefield. As we can reach the age of 50 etc here ingame and as we don't have any life conditions, we shouldn't start thinking about people losing their abilities when they grow old^^

Age ought to be taken out of the game altogether now. It was only put in to fighten people into retiring before there was the upkeep patch. It's no longer any use.
The word is "anyway" not "anyways". You are not Gabby Hayes.

That's what your mom also said last night, then I saw what was down there.
