One afternoon i came back home with a preety cheap game in my hand. At last i have my own warband, but what class should i choose? I've played as x-bow guy earlier at my cousins alt account. It was nice char with mw x-bow and bolts. But i always wants to be an archer. I think 'archer is good, he can change his positions and i'll be usefull in strat'. Yea i'll be preety annoying archer

Playing as newbie was hard, no equipment, many mw things around and everyone wants o have a "free frag" named Steevee. At least i learned basic blocking.
After maaany hours of playing i started making kills and get long bow. I liked it from the begining. Most archers around were using horn bows because they "fast", but i loved my longbow for ability to onehitting poor armoured and low lvl players.
But longbow gots one more disadvantage: 777 gold upkeep... +354 gold for bag of boodkins x2... i wondered "how bag of sticks with a piece of metal on one end and pieces of feathers on second one can cost so much?" but after that i think "other players have bigger upkeep so it doesn't matter"
Today i played a bit and wondered who is my biggest enemy.
Cav? Yea, they are annoing. Almost always attack from behind, their horses are almost as quiet as ninjas and if any of them catch me on open field i just pray for help, in most of situation i minimize my game and watch wideos on youtube
. If i stay in group or at good position i can fight with them preety easy and kill their horses.
2h and ninjas? As long i can see them i can fight them. If they come too close i can just run or block with my hand axe. It's funny to block with my small hand axe weapons like Flamberges and all big and scary poles
But running and searching teammates is the best archers weapon against 2h and shielders.
Aaaahhhh... Shielders. Some of ppl probably think that's archers nightmare. Especially if some of them have throwing shit. But that's no 2 on my list.
On first place are other rangers. Dedicated crossbowman and archers are biggest archers problem. Arrows and bolts are sometimes flying from nowhere. I know that good feeling of onehitting archer with one bolt from crossbow. Looking at my enemies rag doll falling from roof makes smile on my face
. Arrows are also deadly especially if there are more than one archer against you.
Most ppl rages about roofcampers. But who are they? Many times they are rangers who killed rangers from other team, or just ones who find a way to run from enemies infantry and cav. Roofs are for archers and x-bowers preety safety place like an open field for a good cav against 1h+shielders.
Death is everywhere... Even on rooftop rangers are not safety. On roofs they are almost only moving targets to kill by others team good working rangers. And if ninjas or shielders thinks a bit and cooperate with their teams rangers, they are able to force enemies to get down from roof or die there.
There is one more important thing. Shooting into melee. As an archer i can say that i always shoot into melee to help my mates not enemies. I'm sure that many of you rages about arrows or bolts in you ass and head. Shit happens, but wonder a while how many times archer or crossbowman saved ur life?
At the end of my short story i have one request for all infantry and cav: take care a bit of your teams archers and x-bowers because they can help you to win and get multi
