This is probably a dumb question, but is there a way to spawn placeable siege ladders / coursers / etc in maps to test how they work in game?

Yeah, you need to host a map do do that; Multiplayer>host a game>chose the appropriate map, test away.

To get the maps into the rotation tho, you will need the module system.

Right, I have it in cRPG module.  I can change weather and spawn at different locations, just not sure how to do the other bits.  Always spawns me with a war mask and some armor, but the only way I get horse is in Native module picking Vaegir Horseman.

Help the noobery and I promies I'll maek good map

Yes, you can't do that with the cRPG Scene Editor, to test siege stuff you have to be in native/your-own-module.

You basically want to use this http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,112508.0.html (I don't use the "Quick Scene Chooser") and when that is set up this is a pretty nifty guide: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,112806.0.html

Ah to clarify I don't mean the siege ladders spawned by entry points, I mean the cRPG-specific throw-weapon slot-taking ladders...

I'm gathering there's probably some cheats in native but I don't think they give those module-specific items.  Is there at least a superfast horse I can spawn to approximate how far/fast a courser rides?

Ah.

Courser is pretty fast as it is, but if you use the module system you could always just tweak the stats of the one you are using to spawn. cRPG moving props are not available, as it is right now. You will have to simulate some other way.

Roger!  Thanks for the help.  Maybe it wasn't a dumb question after all!

They should eventually include a spawn horse/ladder options in the scene editor menu.

New map is close (by necessity really, I'm at 560kb or so, not much more room for detail, especially considering I still have to wall off the map with invisible borders)
