On another  note:

The mod seems to randomly crash sometimes when you try to join a server.

No idea on the cause.

For some reason it seems to happen with Vista and 7 x64 only.

Same here.

XP User. Before patch, this game never crashed on my pc. Now it crash on every single cRPG seerver. I'm MAD.

Feels like after fisrt Black Ops patch. Before it was fine, and after there no1 could play...

Question for other users whose game crashes:

Have you tried to just start a single player game?  (it crashes in the same way for me there the same as when I join a server)

 * *updated note on single player.  after multiple retries and experimenting with graphics settings, I found one constant.  It crashes consistantly when an arrow just misses you, i.e. an archer shoots at you and its really close, but just barely a miss. **

I've seen a lot of people mention windows 7/64bit.  But Mesmer mentioned this bug on xp.

2) and what video card are you using?  (both the people who crash and the random person for whom it works)

I've got an ati card and windows 7/64 for reference and it always crashes.

I have win7 64bit with an ati card and i had the crashing problem untll i did the slighty dodgey fix that i posted on the other page
